I am a bit of a preppy. Always have been, always will be. I love the blog www.ivy-style.com almost as much as I love my Bass Weejuns. In particular, I love a recent graphical post by writer Muffy Aldrich (how prep is that name?) depicting the trajectory of fashion brands. With a little licence, I think it can be applied to most luxury brands. Where do your personal favourites sit on the map?

I'm surprised Clarks shoes isn't on Muffy's chart. Perhaps it completely skipped 'preppy' in its recent leap from the school yard to high fashion. Their desert boots and brogues belong in the iconic panel but with slightly higher levels of PR.
