David Yates's Biography

 

After completing a masters degree in Biochemistry at Oxford, David made the entirely logical step into Planning in Soho.

Starting in the direct world at TBWA\GGT and TEQUILA\London, before developing brand skills at CHI & Partners, David is now Planning Director at integrated agency Kitcatt Nohr Digitas.

His clients have spanned financial services (Morgan Stanley and RBS), automotive (Chevrolet and Lexus), FMCG (Typhoo and Anchor), charity (WWF and NSPCC), and retail (Waterstone's, Waitrose and John Lewis). The work has focused on strong integrated thinking that drives real behaviour change. Very few enzymes or amino acids.

Play with your food

The latest Cadbury's campaign might have a cinematic tv ad and a social media gaming element with competing facebook groups but the best bit is the chocolate bar they've invented. It has three segments: one with spots, one with stripes, and a middle section covered with stars for the winner of the challenge printed on the inside of the wrapper. Product as media channel. That's proper integrated thinking.
