It's true. Guitar Hero is no more. Despite generating profits running into billions, the music gaming genre suffered a disastrous Christmas. So the company that produces Guitar Hero decided to pull the plug.
Analysts have identified a movement away from buying games that require expensive and bespoke controllers (in the shape of guitars, drums and microphones in this case) towards more interchangeable technology.
If that's true, then it could be very bad news indeed for the makers of WII fit...
Budding axemen needn't worry though, because you'll still be able to download new tracks to play along with from the web. Anyone for Freebird?

I never really liked it.
The game designers never really managed to develop the game enough did they? Once you learn how hit the buttons fast and get the hang of it? Where do you go from there?
New versions featuring antique acts was never going to last. I guess the makers underestimated the unstoppable force that is Justin Bieber.
Perhaps some kind of meat suit version?
