The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), the leading UK charity working with people with sight problems, has appointed integrated agency Kitcatt Nohr Alexander Shaw to its direct marketing account. The appointment follows a two-way pitch between Kitcatt Nohr and another agency.

Kitcatt Nohr has been tasked with delivering RNIB and Action for Blind People’s programme of acquisition, retention and donor development activity, whilst innovating and evolving the programme to engage new audiences and develop new messages.

Kitcatt Nohr will work closely with RNIB’s other partner agencies to deliver fully integrated campaigns.

Kitcatt Nohr’s first activity for RNIB and Action for Blind People will be the Christmas appeal campaign, targeting existing and new donors, to launch in November.

RNIB is the latest win for Kitcatt Nohr, which has also won business from Charles Tyrwhitt, Visit Wales, WaterAid and National Book Tokens so far this year.

There are almost two million people with sight problems in the UK and it is predicted that by 2050 the numbers of people with sight loss will double to nearly 4 million. RNIB provides advice, support and practical products and services to help people live with sight loss. They offer a wide range of high quality, practical services and a lot of expertise. They also campaign to improve the rights of blind and partially sighted people.

Vonnie Alexander, Client Partner at Kitcatt Nohr commenting on the appointment said; “We couldn’t be more excited to have been appointed to this brief. We are as motivated by the cause as we are by the ambition of the fundraising team at RNIB. The enthusiasm for this task strategically and creatively from the agency team clearly won the day.”

Commenting on the appointment, Steve Greenberg, Head of Donor Development at RNIB said; “We chose to appoint Kitcatt Nohr because of their innovative thinking, passion and understanding of our work. We’re looking forward to working closely with them to develop strong, income-generating creative.”
