Kitcatt Nohr is to host a private view of award-winning artist Marcus Lyon’s latest project, The BRICs: an exploration of urban expansion in the emerging economies, on Thursday October 7th.
Marcus’ early career focused on social issue led reportage commissions concerning street children in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Over a critically acclaimed twenty-five year career, Marcus has built an impressive reputation as an advertising and portraiture photographer. He has been commissioned to shoot many public figures including the Queen, the last four British Prime Ministers and many other notable public figures. His artworks and books are held in both private and public collections including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Arts Council of Great Britain and have been exhibited and sold to a global audience.
His latest body of work, The BRICs, has been exhibited in the UK, Europe, Africa and the Americas - most recently at the Saatchi Gallery in London. BRIC images are held in several significant private and corporate collections.
The private view, which starts at 6pm on Thursday October 7th, will include a brief talk from Marcus followed by a Q&A. We’ll also be serving drinks.
The event will take place at Kitcatt Nohr's offices in Clerkenwell.
