After weeks spent talking up all the great stuff going on in Wales this Autumn, Team Wales decided we should go and do some of it ourselves.
Autumn is festival season in Wales. There's a cheese festival. A beer festival. An oyster festival. And another festival just for walking all that off.
But one festival in particular caught our eye - the Porthcawl Elvis Festival. The largest of its kind in Europe, no less.
Four of us piled into the agency Prius, pointed the satnav in the general direction of The King, and hit the M4.
It didn't take long to spot Elvis. Tall Elvis, short Elvis, Australian Elvis, Swedish Elvis, GI Elvis, lady Elvis and child Elvis. They were all there. Some circa Blue Hawaii, others circa burger bye-bye. We even learned a new acronym - ETA, or Elvis Tribute Artist. In these circles, 'impersonator' is a very dirty word.
As well as getting to know Wales better, we used the trip to flex our film production muscles, in the form of Kitcatt Nohr's own production facility - dotTV. We followed the progress of several Elvises, including Wales' very own Ponty Presley, through the competitive heats.
But who won the Gold Lamé jacket award? Look out soon for the debut of our short film, Searching For Elvis.
