As Julia said, we can't wait to meet Miles the dog in the flesh. But as this new infographic shows, he may well already be on Facebook. It seems that 14 per cent of dog owners already have a page for their four-legged friend on the social networking site.
There have always been sites for pet-focussed people (like Petstreet.co.uk), but this is the first sign of a growing trend in the world of Facebook. And proof yet again that people - and dogs - will use the social media they prefer to communicate with each other, rather than opting for bespoke vertically integrated channels.
So the next time you get a request from someone to be their friend on Facebook, you might want to work out how many legs they have before you reply.
