As someone who grew up under a red banner, watched at all times by all seeing eyes of great leaders hanging from every wall and lamp post, maybe I have a slight tendency to completely ignore when someone in a position of authority starts ringing alarm bells.
It has also made me quite averse to people changing history, putting words into other people’s mouths, or adding and removing people from historical photos.
But when I first started hearing about bees disappearing, and how serious the whole issue is, I’ve really started to pay attention to it. Hell, I even applauded the genius who planted the quote “If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live." into Einsteins mouth.
I am not sure if it was me growing old, or is this issue really worth it. Either way, I am glad that by the looks of things i will never find out.
I’m overjoyed to hear that there is a genuine hope for bees, now that the cause of the mystery has been discovered. And I will continue to believe that this issue was genuinely worth a bit of “history PR”. Nothing to do with my age.
