And what about writing?

Some teachers now advise their students not to write directly onto a screen, but to write at least the first draft of anything by hand. Not just teachers, either - geeks, too - look here.

In this agency, we write a lot. From where I sit, I can't see anyone doing it by hand. Are we missing something? Or with the deadlines we face, is it just impossible? Or again, is it simply that it's far more convenient to word process everything?

And by the way, as a writer, I object to the very idea of word processing. Even though I guess I'm doing it right now. Is it time for an equivalent reaction against word processing to the one against processed food that has transformed our eating habits?

Would the results be as pleasing?
