The digital world is ripe for ribbing with its endless slew of over hyped innovations, wild speculation, loopy valuations, titanic spats, and user generated madness. So it seems fitting that there's a day every year dedicated to laughing at it all.

Tech Crunch has put together the best compilation of April Fools jokes so far and its a great way to kill a Friday afternoon at work.

Aside from the usual gonzo inventions and wacky news stories there's a retro theme going on with Hulu's time warped interface takeover piped straight from 1996, , and Google Ad words 'old school' ad builder.

My favourite so far is made by Think Geek. It's a brilliant parody of Apple's self important product demo's, complete with all the wild overstatement, cod consumer musings, and geek speak that we've come to know and love.
